Respectfully @glennbeck you should have continued the interview.
FACT: Trump needs an enemy & he’s made it the MSM.
The reality is most Americans understand Mercy & Justice are NOT mutually exclusive.
But walking away from an interview is akin to quitting.
So let’s talk...

-
Here’s what I see: Both parties have punted on immigration. Trump has amplified the Us v Them mentality. Compromise isn’t a dirty word. Yet the tribalism & Party BS exasperates the dysfunction & nothing gets done. Finger pointing & talking past each other is a vicious cycle /2
-
Problem is Trump & his divisiveness. Separating children from parents has happened under R & D Administration Yet Congress is either unwilling or incapable of bipartisanship. Indefinite detention of minors is wrong. So is illegally emigrating here. We are WAY better than this/3
-
The problem is we have a president who lacks moral authority, a majority of Americans do not believe him. The sad part is there will be a day where Americans need to believe him Trump is the boy who cried wolf one too many times. But he’s right Congress DOES need to pass laws/4
-
To fix or overhaul the immigration system. Here’s the problem: Muslim Ban 1-3 DACA Zero Tolerance His tweets. Coupled with his bullying of our allies & creating trade wars. Resulting in a lot of instability. All of which erodes trust. /fin
-
...lie about far more serious matters, and he doesn’t hold a candle. I’ve aske thousands of times and yet to receive anything other than a block, ‘what has Trump lied about that did more harm to Americans than you can keep your doctor, plan and save $2500?’
-
So by your logic you’re totally okay with: HCI rates skyrocketing Tens of millions wasted on 49 attempts to repeal ACA. HCI Co pre-existing conditions, lifetime caps, insane RXs prices & not covering preventative care. Tell me more about how horrible the aca is...
-
Speaking of Trump lies, when you lie 3,000+ in 500 days. That pathological behavior erodes any kind of trust. If the Trump Admin doesn’t like being called liars, how about they stop lying? FTR Trump lied about NK & Russia presenting a clear Nat Sec riskhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2018/05/01/president-trump-has-made-3001-false-or-misleading-claims-so-far/?utm_term=.4defa0bc4bf6 …

Glenn was right to walk off when you deflected. I DVRed the show just to watch the interview.
-
In an actual interview when the person being interviewed refuses to say anything substantive after repeated attempts, the interviewer moves to another topic.
-
Yeah to unnecessary drama in this interview.
-
Glenn got what he wanted. He can claim to have come on CNN attempting to interview the interviewer, while offering nothing himself. Hopefully you'll tune in tomorrow. There's not a snowball's chance in hell that I will.
-
I do listen to
@glennbeck daily for the last 12 years. -
There you go. You're probably not going to view that without bias then. Ironically, I haven't listened to hate radio in almost that long. Music or sports in my car. I don't feel like I've missed anything. I suppose that you're Mormon, since his most avid listeners are Mormons
-
Im so glad to find out im not the only one that calls it hate radio thats what it is. I quit listening around 20yrs ago i seen what it did to ppl unless you experienced seeing it its hard to explain to others but its like a cult

"Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies." Not unlike trump university. They call an actual education "liberal indoctrination." Too funny.

Why did you blindside Beck? Not classy & one reason the right & left don't speak to each other. Do you want conversations or more yelling & more distrust? You had an opportunity to build a bridge & you failed.
-
If he wants to ask Beck about the business of his company fine. Then make that the basis of the interview. But he did it as a way to minimize Beck's pov. He implied that 'CNN makes more $ than you do so there's nothing wrong w/ the way we do business'.
-
Yup, great point. Beck keeps trying to reach out, but gets zinged by those who care more about scoring points with their base.

Glen Beck making some very valid points in my opinion. Very balanced point of view here!
-
Brain was clearly being condescending. My opinion of course!
-
I really liked Stelter during the election and shortly thereafter. I think he was one of the few voices in the MSM that stood up to the Trump lies early on. But lately, it seems like he has on guests he knows are going to disagree or just blow fog and pokes the bear constantly.
-
The way I see it,
@glennbeck was willing to engage, and@brianstelter F'ed it up!, It's too bad, Beck was right, desire for ratings took over!
