The cover speaks to the absolute anguish the Trump administration is inflicting on these REFUGEES seeking ASYLUM. Let is all remember to use the proper terms.

The
@TIME cover shows a child taken by her mother from her father, brother and sisters in a middle-class home in Honduras as a bargaining chip for leniency after a felony offense for a second illegal entry to the US to make a false political asylum claim.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5869829/amp/Father-two-year-old-face-child-separation-crisis-speaks-out.html … -
Would you prefer that
@Time use the image of any one of the other 2500+ refugee children ripped from their parent's arms after being illegally denied asylum at our southern border? You, sir, are tone-deaf. -
Sure. But they weren't illegally denied asylum. They crossed illegally rather than present credible claims at Ports of Entry that they avoided. Their asylum claims will be heard but they're still liable for criminal entry. Only 5-7% asylum claims from CA are granted. Rest are BS.
-
False. ALL being turned away under Trump-Sessions-Miller policy shift. These refugees seeking asylum are now - since policy shift - they are denied. So they cross illegally, get arrested 4 misdemeanor, imprisioned. USA = only nation in WORLD 2 imprision refugees.
-
You left out "...imprisoned, then unless their asylum claim is validated, deported." If they had valid asylum claims they would assert it at a Port of Entry at the end of every route through Mexico. They don't so when caught they say "asilo" as coached by immigration activists.

For the record, I never took this girl to represent any children being separated. I took it as a representation of the psychological toll of his policies on young people who don’t deserve it. And, being utterly petrified of his hair.

On it's own, its an honest mistake. The problem is, conservatives can point to it as 'fake news'. I mean they do it anyway but why give them fodder?
-
How do you know it was "an honest mistake?" The writer of the web story claimed that the child was dragged screaming away from her mother, which was completely false. That's not a typo or a minor error. It was just completely made up. Alternative facts, if you will.

The child's father criticized attacks on the picture of his daughter, saying it shouldn't cast doubt on the “human-rights violations” taking place at the border. “This is the case for my daughter, but it is not the case for 2,000 children that were separated from their parents".
-
Have you looked into *why*some families are separated? It’s not to punish them, as the lying, partisan media have said.https://youtu.be/eGuSdXiFtLk

And Ed continually said the child represented every child separated and traumatized by an experience they could not interpret, emotionally. Regardless of the child’s status, she represented every child who faced the DHS and ICE authorities.

-
She represented the narrative your fluoridated mind records without question- even when you know it's misleading
-
I agree with you; we have been totally mislead by this Administration.
