        Any privacy concerns voiced by authorities have a hollow ring, as minors without agency are penned together and denied basic freedoms. We need to prioritize; blur the faces, use state of the art tech. But tell the tale with photojournalism; it’s a powerful tool of democracy.

        Brian, it seems like you often use language that downplays or understates the extreme nature of the policies you cover. As a 'media reporter' (vs. straight journalist) do you feel you always have to moderate your choice of words? Or do you just not feel strongly about anything?
