Can’t believe our media companies had the budgets to fly crews and hosts and reporters all the way to Singapore to cover Trump’s stagecraft, yet refuse to send staff to our own southern border to record these ongoing atrocities to humanity.
-
-
I have been covering these atrocities for weeks now on The Weekly List - whatever reporting I can find, mostly from WAPO (thank you) - and only in the last couple of days has our media been starting to cover more actively. Vs. the shameful propaganda-like coverage of Singapore.
-
The first pictures of the mass trials came out weeks ago via the Houston Chronicle and Intercept. No one else covered. It was a citizen who snapped the photos of scores of men in orange suits, hands and feet shackled.
-
Please persist. You're a much-needed voice in this cacophony of atrocities.
#Resist now more than ever and as long as it takes. -
Yes!

-
MSNBC does cover much of this. But they are not splashed across the country. You only get them on cable or subscription services. Its equivalent to page 40 of an old style newspapers, mixed in with the obituaries.
-
Cable & TV service providers should give MSNBC to American viewers who don’t have cable to give “equal access/time” for intelligent news! FOX TV propaganda, brainwashing StateTV is on 24/7 on regular TV that’s all most Americans can afford! Viewing FOX only is huge USA problem!
-
Fox is the national security threat and now with
#Sinclair their reach to indoctrinate Americans is evidence and lends credence to the obvious motive of turning America blindly bigoted and ignorant#AshamedofAmerica as long as these atrocities continue#WeAreAllComplicit -
As USA has both “Freedom of Speech” & “Hate Speech” Laws & since brainwashed don’t know they’re so infected, we must 1st tread lightly—insist on EQUAL time for MSNBC & CNN (at least) from all TV service providers so Americans have chance to access sanity & can save themselves!

You exactly what she’s talking about, Brian. The volume you lot dedicated to Singapore compared to this issue is despairingly tragic.
-
that's not what she said. she said newsrooms "refuse to send staff to our own southern border," which is not just false, it's nonsensical

Can you explain why the media complains about PR, but won’t do an on the ground report?
@brianstelter, grab Jim@Acosta and go take care of it. I see Pulitzer! -
huh? CNN's team has been there for weeks. other major networks have been back in PR too. i recently interviewed
@DavidBegnaud about it -
Honestly. Brian, not seeing much at all.

Brian... We're emotional beings... when we don't see footage of the horrible crap that needs to be constantly brought into the light, we get like this. Please... try and empathize with her.

-
i do empathize. but we've gotta stay rooted in what's factual. there have been many reports about the family situation by most major outlets
-
What's "factual" is that today Trump decides to pull out of
@UN Human Rights Council.#BreakingNewshttps://twitter.com/thehill/status/1007765956561719302 …
-
I'm sure he knows.... I know... all it took was 5 minutes on twitter and I know most of today's news. That's the thing... there's so many sources, we can't b*tch at one organization for not covering it....while... we're not watching it! But maybe after? or before? timing heh.
-
Yeah, we're all
#realtime. So, why no Unified Statment from the Free Press? Why are no anchors calling it out directly? UnAmerican, Undemocratic, and most likely Treasonous. -
I think it's about.. "access" They do that, and they're kicked out of the press pool, the doors are closed off... poking the bear like! heh.. it's trending! I think? I do kinda empathize with their PoV. They're either scared or trying to be neutral. But it's hard these days...
