Give me a break. This has to be one of the most fascinating times, ever, to be a journalist.https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1005873044139593728 …

Powerful answer from @DavidFrum about people feeling news fatigue: "If your child is feverishly ill, it can be very fatiguing to take care of her -- but it's what you do." And "if your country is ill, you have the same responsibility." http://www.snappytv.com/tc/8178707/5702291 …

Did he say anything about it not being a fascinating time for a journalist? Maybe I missed it

Now that I actually watched the clip, so much about this bothers me. Yes people should pay attention, but the conduct of the media has made getting anything resembling the ‘truth’ extremely difficult for a consumer. And of course there is more than one way of seeing the ‘truth.’

The idea that Trump is ‘punishment’ for people not doing their civic duty is a perfect example. That’s one way of seeing it. Another way is that it’s precisely because half the country was paying attention that we got him.

No but Megyn Kelly did... I remember Megyn saying something like...."you have to admit Trump has made covering politics fun, it's usually kinda boring" People want to hear the News, not 2min of News with 58min of negative journalists opinions. CNN has turned into Dr. Phil 😞

Would be less fatigue if MSM journalists returned to their ethics & duties to the public. Report the truth, the whole truth, & nothing but the truth. What we have today are endless falsehoods, half truths, & some truth buried in there somewhere. All this reported as OpEd drama

I don't think it's the news gathering that's causing the fatigue and high fevers. I think it's the Twitter.

Not everyone has news fatigue because “the country is ill”, many have news fatigue because everything, on your channel in particular, is negative.

Dangerous time. Editors and producers are choosing the tittilating over the informative for shameless ratings grab. Trump wins every new cycle because the media are sheep that can’t help themselves
