Hi @brianstelter, @FLOTUS spokesperson @StephGrisham45 just confirmed to me that she is welcoming Gold Star families to the White House as we speak. Mystery solved. http://dailycaller.com/2018/06/04/melania-attends-first-event-surgery/ …https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1003415901432053760 …

My tweet, quoting a guest on CNN, is 24 hours old. CNN has been reporting on tonight's event all day. So why are you randomly tweeting at me now? Oh wait -- I think I know why. For the shares and the LOLs, right? Hope you're having fun.

No - because I believe someone recovering from emergency surgery deserves privacy and respect. Not endless speculation & theories as to where they are. Have you seen the recovery process for a procedure like this? I have. It's excruciating.

"Endless speculation?" My segment was 3 minutes long. Did you watch it? Was it "disrespectful?" No. While journalists are doing their jobs by reporting, youre just shopping for likes and retweets.

Ask yourself, if it was your family member who had a life threatening condition & emergency surgery, would you enjoy this kind of irresponsible speculation? "LAST SEEN" graphics? This is a human decency question. I'll let the ratio here speak for itself:pic.twitter.com/MWXzqa99Kt

She's the First Lady, Benny. She's one of the most powerful women in the world. Americans are concerned about her health. So reporters are doing their jobs. It's really as simple as that. I hope you have a nice night.

I contacted First Lady's spokesperson to find out FLOTUS whereabouts. Then I wrote a report about what she was doing. Did you ever reach out to @StephGrisham45 for comment before running your speculation segment or leading your newsletter with the headline "Melania M.I.A." ?

Dude, relax. The segment was not hounding the first lady. And many people are concerned about her conspicuous absence, especially in light of who she is married to. There is a smell to the WH story, but that doesn't mean that we don't want her to be OK.

Conspicuous absence? How long do you think is a recover from a liver surgery??? Oh my...🙄🙄🙄 people don’t have anything better to do and then “create” ridiculous situations...

Because if you champion yourself as a real journalist on a mainstream platform you can expect to be called on what you publicly say, especially if it's ridiculous.

Our movement is having a blast, the tanking of @CNN is almost as fun as watching your reaction on election night. @CNN couldn’t place ONE show in the top 25, and Acosta up front, Sponge Bob taking your lunch money, Congratulations!!!!!

No some people work real jobs during the day. We don't have the luxury of working for a fake news organization. We have to do things that require honesty, integrity, and hard work. It must be nice to b.llsh.t for a living.
