People evolve, people change. We all do. But what about Joy Reid's claim in April that hackers "fabricated" some of her blog posts? That excuse still lingers in the air...http://www.snappytv.com/tc/8110939/5646896 …

I'm thinking you probably have stuff in your past that you wouldn't want to see aired in public. Doesn't everyone? This is bullshit, especially coming from
@CNN -
... And if he did, the correct response would be the own it. Not say that 'hackers did it'.
-
Maybe time would be better spent talking about the almost 5k dead in Puerto Rico, and how Trump isn't doing a damn thing. Or how about the missing kids that his admin has taken away from their parents. FFS

IF
@CNN wants to continue this bullshit, I say#BoycottCNN

Yes it's unimportant. She said she couldn't prove that it was hacking and isn't defending it further. People who are trying to take down a popular black woman pundit are latching on to "hacking" like its supposed to make her entire personhood, professionalism, and integrity moot.
-
She didn't plagiarize; she didn't create a story out of whole cloth; she didn't lie about a source; she didn't hurt ANYONE. This is TRANSPARENTLY an effort to TAKE JOY REID DOWN, and instead of fellow journalists asking WHY people are trying to SILENCE her, you pile on.
-
It is truly eye opening to see the wagons circling around someone like Maggie Haberman who constantly ignores cogent, serious criticisms of her work, & to see those same journalists gleefully joining in the effort to destroy Joy Reid's career when she has been nothing but a pro.

For this viewer it is serious because it plays into the damaging fake news trope. i.e., if the anchor/analyst isn’t truthful, maybe their reporting and analyses aren’t truthful either. MSNBC needs to present a truthful Joy Reid who gives a full explanation or ask her to leave
-
No. Because she really thought she did not wrote the blogs. It was years ago. She sincerly apologized in her show.

YES. It’s unimportant.
-
No it isn't. She flat out lied.

Look who’s on your side, Stetler.

Compared to Trump and Trump ally lies that are allowed to slide by YES!

Come on, take a look around Brian. Yes, it's unimportant.

There are so many more important stories to investigate. Too bad the MSM can’t stay focused on issues that matter.
-
But the issue is she is MSM and if MSM wants to maintain national credibility and not just keep its Reid-fans happy, it needs to hold its newspeople to a high standard of honesty and ethics. She hasn't met any high standard with her hacking lie
-
I am more interested in why 5,000 people are dead in Puerto Rico because our government abandoned them but no one seems interested in investigating that. I can’t give a shit about Joy Reid apologizing for a hacking claim. We all have our own priorities.
-
Thats a ridiculous red herring that didn't counter anything I said. Thanks for proving you cant. I'm more interested in it too, but the press can cover both, so your crying about it because u like Joy makes no sense. It means everyone who cried about Roseanne were being silly too
-
I don’t care about Joy Reid. Don’t watch her show & don’t really care about her opinions. And I am well aware the press could cover both, but they don’t. That is my point. The end.
-
Actually, they do cover both as Stelter himself posted coverage of it. So, you're fine with Joy Reid getting fired and we're done. The end.
