My opening essay on today's @ReliableSources: Some viewers want journalists to RETHINK how we do our jobs as a result of Trump's deception. Maybe we shouldn't be reading his tweets aloud, because it's hard to believe anything he says...http://www.snappytv.com/tc/8062521/5607656 …

Yes. Go back and review the policy changes to environmental protection, to consumer financial protection. To the diminishing footprint he has in global humanitarian conversation. Review the emoluments clause, his self enrichment, there's so much beyond his tweets!

I am so tired of the formula @CNN has adopted. Go back to more facts less opinion guests. Review his bankruptcies, law suits, financials. Stop trying to be so balanced that the facts get lost. I've had it with him and his fake defenders

There's nothing wrong with reading his tweets; it is news. The problem is, and I am weary of saying it, is the political prostitutes that continually get trotted out in front of the cameras on all these shows. There are plenty of Americans. Pick some who are not bought & paid for

I don’t know what is the proper way to cover this president but I do know that we aren’t hearing enough about what he’s doing while the media focuses on his lies. How about dedicating the 1st 5 mins of coverage on the lies and the rest of your time on what his admin is doing

Fine essay. And what about Trump surrogates who, as CNN regulars, routinely misdirect, misrepresent and hijack the conversation to support his lies?

Brian, journalists need a "crisis intervention". You need a few sessions of group therapy w/psychiatrists and media specialists. Trump is a beast of a different color. Professional help is needed to analyze the patient w/treatment modalities that will treat his symptoms.

Do you know how you kill a wildfire? You cut off its oxygen! Report the facts. Stop showing his tweets, stop featuring him on TV, just say the president, just report the facts/news. The more you continue to fuel the LIAR DJT, the more America will become immune to the Real Truth

You media have been enablers. You run to catch his every word. He is a pathological LIAR. Most if the time that is all that needs to be said. He wants EVERYONE, especially media, to be talking about his lies. Repetition is his tool in his lies.

*it's a correction to my original post, but my point is if CNN wants to maintain impartiality they should at least hire conservative pundits who got valid concrete opinions to offer, not rabid Trump ass-kissers like the ones I mentioned.

You and fellow journalists continue to try and parse lying. Despite what @maggieNYT says, Trump's state of mind does not make a lie into something lesser. We don't care whether he knows it's a lie or believes it's true. When he tells a lie, inform the public that it's a lie.
