NYT story claimed President and aides were at odds. NYT said POTUS thinks summit date difficult but possible whereas aide said “impossible.” Except aide didn’t say that. NYT said WH official said something he didn’t say. When caught, moved goalpost to “WH aides exist.”
cool. where do you work? why are you anonymous? i don't know many journalists who have anonymous twitter accounts.

Look Stelter, here's the thing, you are a big time broadcast news expeditor who is also a big time fabulist and manufacturer of a defective product. It's all public domain stuff. That makes you, basically, a joke.

Sounds like Duke isn't part of the left wing cabal so he's prolly anonymous out of fear of retribution from the insular angry left wing hacks that comprise the majority of media.

No, I just signed an agreement not to talk all politics on my official Twitter account. People in my newsroom know my opinions:. I think the left focuses too much on groups, not individuals; I think abortion is immoral & don‘t trust government. I’m not ashamed of any of that.

...and how about you address my actual point: that reporters are not supposed to interpret when there’s an exact quote available to use, especially with sensitive stories. If you don’t grasp that, stop dirtying up my profession, you disingenuous hack.

Since I signed an agreement to not put my personal opinions on social media, I have an anon account where I can post my opinions. Because I, unlike you, want my work product to be unbiased. I have my opinions but you can’t glean them from my stories. Unlike you, you partisan hack

We all have opinions; mine is that Trump isn’t perfect, but doing some necessary things. You won’t know that from my stories. You, on the other hand, despise this POTUS, and you don’t try to hide it. Your organization is a joke.

The Jayson Blair and Stephen Glass scandals are nothing compared to CNN’s dishonesty. I watched your network run a story under the headline “woman calls for peace” when you edited out the part — in her very next sentence — where she called for rioting. Pfft. You’re a joke.
