No, the criticism is simple: DC journos are badly serving their audience by not fact-checking/calling out political lies and instead making excuses for the propogandists. When you surrender the truth and explain away lies you fail democracy.https://twitter.com/brianstelter/status/1000784105418641408 …

The ones who wrote/aired the overwhelming majority of these 3,000 plus lies unchallenged. It’s a long list.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2018/05/01/president-trump-has-made-3001-false-or-misleading-claims-so-far/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.f4c869666c38 …

Presumption should be that administration knows its own policies and personnel. When those are misstated and not corrected, the misstatements are lies.

I wouldn't say y'all aren't fact checking. CNN mostly covered Trump's spygate this week. Ignoring 3 huge stories: the Trump Jr one, Trump actually using Israelis to spy on Obama's ppl during Iran deal, and trumps utter incompetence w/North Korea.
-
Can you imagine the coverage if Obama's ppl people bungled the Iran talks, like Mike Pence and Bolton did with NK? These weren't political freshmen, they knew mentioning Libya would trigger a negative response.
