POTUS frequently claims, without evidence, that journalists make up sources. This is widely recognized to be a fib at best and a lie at worst. Saturday's example was crystal clear...http://money.cnn.com/2018/05/26/media/president-trump-sources-new-york-times/index.html …

some are fibs, some are deflections, some are exaggerations, some are lies. there's a wide range.

That explanation may work with conventional politicians but not Trump. He spews out his falsehoods, big & small, to confuse, create chaos, direct policy, blame others, excuse behavior, & mislead his supporters. For those intentional purposes, Trump is a LIAR. Stop sugar coating.

Brian, across the board all journalists should stand up and call it what it is,not a fib, not mistaking the facts, just plain old lying. Nicole Wallace should be applauded for doing just that...Trump should be called out and confronted when he lies. He does it daily.

Another way the media help tRUMP deceive is by saying he "believes" whatever lie or conspiracy theory he's got on tap. But taking an evidence-free BS stand and calling it a belief is still lying—worse, it exploits the sacred connotation of BELIEF to assist in the deception.

If you guys don’t have the courage to call it a lie, he will keep making them. It’s not a fib, it’s a lie.
