I hear people making a fuss about Web Components, but is no one else excited that with Edgium's release, in 2020 we finally have cross-browser support for SVG SMIL Animation? 😂

Independent transform properties are now also supported in Firefox 72! So, for example, you can use `translate: 20px 20px` and animate/transition separately from any rotation, scaling, and everything in the `transform` function list

The Web Animations API (or any library that returns promises) + async/await is perfect for orchestrating motion and timing. 🎉 No more callbacks, await Promise.all y'all! 🎉 demo: docs:

Today I learnt that because Web extensions have a unique URL for each install, fetch() requests will have a unique origin and CDNs won't be able to cache CORS requests. For AWS you can un-whitelist the Origin header for S3 and instead pass a fixed Origin to workaround it.

The second requirement in particular is what makes multicol unsuitable as far as I can tell. At this rate I might just use JS to calculate the number of rows, set `grid-template-rows(<x>, ...)` in inline style, then tag the items individually for alternate styling.

Every time I use CSS grid I seem to want to do something grid apparently can't do. Specifically, I often want: ● Content flows vertically into a fixed number of columns ● Items on the same row have the same height ● Items on the same row have the same (alternating) style

Can't tell if this is a bug or machine learning. (Screenshot shows 5 min connection time for a connection that apparently takes 8 min. I did it in 3.)

Today my failure is Preact + TypeScript + display:grid. You can't use JSX fragments in Preact from TS (), which means extra wrapper elements but poor browser support for display:contents means you can't reliably ignore them. I guess it's back to <table> 🙃

My Japanese corporate bank account requires IE11 to use Internet banking. There is, however, a mobile app. But after upgrading to Android 10 it has stopped working and I am not at all surprised.
