I just got off the phone with FEMA and they are mobilizing resources for the Hawai`i Island lava event. They are monitoring for forest fires, power outages, and water supply disruption.

Hopefully they don’t confuse it with that other island surrounded by water - Puerto Rico.

A good many are off grid and use water catchment, depending on the subdivision. Let’s hope it’s either over or stays underground more to go to the ocean.
