Republican not ready to announce a deal with other Republicans, let alone with Democrats. McConnell delayed COVID relief bill until July - said he didn’t “feel a sense of urgency.” And they didn’t even use that time to get their own house in order.

Same way that they dithered and delayed and denied any urgency to deal with covid19. 143,000+ deaths later (and excess mortality figures push it to 180,000+), and a shattered economy.

Cool. My industry (events) is not coming back anytime soon. And even with the $600, I’m making substantially less than I normally would. Without the $600, my state expects me to live off of the equivalent of $11k/yr in a high cost of living metro area.
