It's about time. Also military assets of other natures. When we dress our police up as military, it certainly appears we've declared the public to be the enemy.

It wld also be great if there cld be mandatory body-cam-wearing w/ 360 views, constant unobstructed recording, and footage that is automatically uploaded into a cloud -that they can't access -whose footage can be FOIAed

Demilitarized, outlaw hiring officers who have been fired for violent reasons, train them in de-escalation, make officers live in the communities they police, no quotas, either rebrand or rename the police and start dismantling the toxic culture from the inside.. I can't fit more

Police kitted out in military gear changes their frame of mind as individuals and organizations. It’s too easy to feel and act like an occupying force when you’re dressed in military-grade protective equipment, riding through American streets in armored vehicles.
