If they wanted to treat this like a lawsuit, they could've done so, which would've meant everyone already testifying. They didn't, so now they want to change the rules again.

If this were a real case, Trump would not have been able to block witnesses with firsthand knowledge from testifying. Trump would've been deposed (like Clinton was), as would Giuliani and Mulvaney. If any had refused, Trump would've been sanctioned with an adverse inference.

As a Texan, I am confident in saying that John Cornyn is the least principled, most power hungry, and cowardly senator in the entire body. I know that’s saying something. But he’s a former state Supreme Court justice and attorney general. He knows better; he just doesn’t care.
