My 20 year old tried the month of free credit reporting and was charged for several months, incurring overdrafts...His bank is issuing a chargeback to try and reclaim his money. Plus anyone can get a free credit report. How's it legal to charge for something anyone can get free?

I work for a credit card company. When you sign up for these "free trials" and give them your CC info it is NOT fraud if they continue to charge you after the initial period. The consumer has to be able to prove they cancelled in accordance withe the T & C. Very hard to do.
