    This is just wrong. He shouldn’t be facing a 15 year sentence for a non-violent drug charge in the first place & we certainly shouldn’t be deporting anyone who serves our country honorably.         ISAF vet here. I have mixed feelings about this. Historically, there are good reasons not to grant citizenship this way. A military force comprised of mercenaries is not necessarily loyal to its new home. I'm not entirely opposed, but thinking it through does give one pause.

        It was how my grandfather got citizenship. He fought for the US in WWI.
