This is a very good piece. I haven't seen ties between QAnon and poverty or even education level. The ties are mostly circumstantial, like sudden losses of a job or a loved one, and -- more importantly -- how much people know about how the internet works.

The city council really needs to re-examine this public-private partnership that produced an empty mall, vacant luxury condos, and a suicide art.

Lovely obituary of Paul Crutzen, who warned the world that we were unwittingly demolishing the ozone layer and later popularized the term "Anthropocene" to describe Earth's current geological era: by

I’ve come to believe that attention (and how we extract it, wield it, waste it, abuse it, sell it, lose it and profit from it) is key to understand the world we live in. ⁦So I found ⁦⁩, the man who predicted the attention economy 30 yrs ago

Lengthy, convincing analysis of the movie shown at the Jan. 6 Ellipse rally as a piece of fascist propaganda. "Fascist propaganda creates an awesome sense of loss, and a desire for revenge against those who are responsible."
