It's still a bit frankenstein, but a label maker app seemed like a fun first test for the new, standalone, bluetooth-enabled, version of my XR chorded keyboard project. It just works with Magic Leap's keyboard support, in WebXR via Exokit even!pic.twitter.com/ekXqH5FNw7

With apologies to the fine hardware designers at Magic Leap. I'm going to make proper 3D print later. Shout-out to Adafruit though, their boards and open source libraries saved me from descending into a bluetooth abyss.pic.twitter.com/WpQ9lJ2mEa

Will be open source for sure. Depending on if the whole idea pans out in the end, I might take the time to build a few more of the final version for anyone interested/crazy enough learn chording

How is that 6 buttons thing work to type ?

It's a chorded keyboard. You use multiple buttons simultaneously to represent one letter, so there are 63 combinations in total, or 124 if you use one of the chords as a mode switch.pic.twitter.com/Ruvb2J6To1

Could it work on other platforms, or are you relying entirely on magic leaps space recognition To restore a session that has labels already placed in it?

It's just a demo app, I didn't bother building persistence into it, but I imagine I would use what ever persistence layer is available on other platforms
