pmsl someone's biological sex isn't a "genetic accident". It's stone cold reality for everyone who's ever lived. Pieces of paper don't change reality. Legal fictions don't change reality. Cults don't change reality.

It is reality determined by a genetic accident, just as skin colour or eye colour or many other biological traits. The fact that sex is all around the law and eye colour is not, however, is legal and not biological. And that's the debate here, law.

No law changes a person's sex, eye or skin colour. A person's sex is a fixed biological fact, nothing changes it. A law can't change it, the law only issues bits of paper about it & creates fictions about it. Biological sex is reality, "gender" isn't.

A law can't change a sex, It can remove legal recognition from "sex" and shift it to a different thing. And because of Liberalism, the ons is on you to prove legal recognition of sex is any more required than that of any other biological trait.

Compare: parenthood is a biological fact. The law can, however, recognize same-sex parents legally, even though they are NOT biologically parents together.

Politicians must decide if they want to abandon the biological sex distinctions of the c. 60m population when framing legislation, assessing service provision & indeed the teaching of biology & anatomy in favour of "gender identity" which less than 1% believe exists. Either or.

Okay. And the Liberal Democratic Party has a clear Party platform on the issue, which is here https://lgbt.libdems.org.uk/en/page/trans-manifesto … and makes total Liberal sense. There is no reason to keep pervasive sex distinctions - let them go the way of nobility distinctions.

People born intersex - an extremely small number - have constantly & consistently told the Trans agenda to stop referencing them. They are in no way connected to transgenderism.

I have linked you to the official, democratically adopted policy of Brian's party. The opinion of some intersex activists has no bearing on teh policy.

All the main Parties have adopted policies on transgender issues without reference to the reality of science, biology & the wishes of the population of the UK. As awareness of this has grown & the implications revealed people are horrified. It's unsustainable.

Our party policy is decided by members (including male & female) at conference.
