Trying to do down trans activists for not constantly apologising for the actions of a minority? Have you apologised today for every act committed by the LGB community in the course of gaining your rights?

Did your meeting with "three trans women and once academic" (And if it's three I'm thinking of, only one actually IDs as a trans woman BTW) involve them apologising for every threat, lie and insinuations that's come from them and their supporters?

@Womans_Place_UK were being condemned for not criticising every threat, lie & insinuation against trans people. I pointed out trans people had not condemned the illegal actions of a minority of people in masks using force (without saying who those people were.) Trying to be fair.2 replies 1 retweet 22 likes -

I have previously said I condemn all violence. You want every trans person to say it? There are a lot of us. Particularly if we have to repeat it every time someone does something. Meanwhile I have not seen any trace of an apology from WPUK for anything at their events.

But you would know some of this if you had met trans members of the LGBT+ exec to discuss the proposed GRA reforms before you started speaking in support of WPUK.

The only thing that could be construed as speaking in support of WPUK is supporting their right to free speech and association. I have never spoken in support of their views, believes or demands. I know exactly what the exec's views on GRA are but I would still like to meet.

"...where are the trans people condemning physical assaults..." "Nothing said in that meeting made me think they were anti trans rights."

The first was in reply to condemnation of WPUK for not condemning anti trans comments - I was reflecting the criticism, not being transphobic. Nothing was said to me in the meeting I had was anti trans - its a true statement of fact, not transphobia.

We’re gonna go out on a limb here and guess that in the meeting someone used the word, “males”, or “men”. When they did that, they were talking about trans women. You must be familiar with the concept of dog whistles.

Not prepared to discuss what happened in the meeting. There were disagreements, including amongst those on "the same side".
