I see that after resigning from @LGBTLD , @brianpaddick has now gone full-on transphobe. The man's a disgrace, and thankfully does not represent the party on this matter.
Shame on you, Paddick, shame on you.

*EVERY TRANS PERSON I KNOW* defines Woman's Place that way, as do their own statements and actions.
-
And I have never, ever, said you should obstruct people's assembly by force. What I said was that whataboutery asking trans people to condemn that is transphobic, just as for example asking all Muslims to condemn terrorism is Islamophobic.
-
Your actions and public statements are making this party unsafe for trans people.
-
Because you are publicly supporting organisations that want to remove their human rights.
-
I'm not supporting any group. I'm supporting people's right to free speech & assembly. I met 2 people from the group in question TOGETHER WITH 4 others including 3 trans women. The representatives said they wanted to protect trans rights. I've made no comment about the group.
-
You said "Nothing said in that meeting made me think they were anti trans rights" That is support. That is a comment about the group.
-
Or - perhaps he's right and they're not anti-trans, ever consider that? What rights do you think they are against, exactly?

The organisation was set up specifically to opppse trans equalities legislation by concern trolling based on lies. They are unequivocally transphobes. The “debate” they claim they want is denied to trans women who their friends bully into fear and silence.
-
Those I've met believe they have genuine concerns but they are as determined to protect trans rights as they are to protect their own rights. Right now, I feel like I'm being bullied into fear and silence - not working but that's what if feels like. Too much misinformation.
-
Those you've met *claim* to be determined to protect trans rights, even while lobbying for the opposite.

..Women started to get angry when trans women started to infringe the rights of women & girls to safe spaces & to try to police our language to describe ourselves. As you very well know
-
Please stop trying to divide women against each other. You do not speak for me, nor yet for millions of cis women or trans women in U.K. alone.
#NotInMyName -
Trans women are biologically male and most still have a penis; girls & women should be able to set boundaries & retain safe spaces
-
Completely disagree with this, Jane. It's wrong & incorrect to reduce either a person's sex or gender to body parts - especially when it's just one body part. Trans ppl are more likely to be attacked by cis ppl than the other way around. We need safe spaces from transphobes.
-
Just to say, if people are going to continue arguing with TERFs in this thread, could you copy me out? It's not that I disagree, just that I've been blocking all the TERFs who end up in my mentions, and so can't see what it is you're arguing *with* precisely...
-
(Although unlike Brian I don't see the lack of TERF propaganda in my life as a bad thing.)

But it ok with you, as a liberal, for groups to gather to discuss how to most effectively remove other people's human rights? How very odd.

Don’t ever forget this! Trans activist are trying to erase gay women and they need to discuss how laws will affect all women. This is not transphobia it’s just women trying to figure out this modern world where they no longer have women only spaces.
