I see that after resigning from @LGBTLD , @brianpaddick has now gone full-on transphobe. The man's a disgrace, and thankfully does not represent the party on this matter.
Shame on you, Paddick, shame on you.

For a start, you RTd https://twitter.com/Rose_Of_Dawn/status/989172257468616708 … On top of that you have been tweeting in support of Woman's Place UK, the most noxiously transphobic organisation that exists in the moment.
-
You tweeted stuff like this, which starts off as "both sides" but carries on with the "where are the trans condemnations" nonsense. https://twitter.com/brianpaddick/status/989237430757806080 …
This Tweet is unavailable. -
In short, you have repeatedly and persistently posted transphobic nonsense to your timeline today, and no I *will not* retract that.
-
I'm just asking you where the transphobic nonsense is.
-
I have pointed it out to you.
-
Condemning people for being transphobic, vile, hurtful & divisive is being transphobic? Saying there are hateful & sensible people on both sides is transphobic. Saying people in masks blocking people meeting is transphobic?
-
Saying "where are the trans people condemning physical assaults" is transphobic. Saying Woman's Place UK, an organisation whose *sole and only purpose* is to force trans people out of public life, are reasonable people *IS TRANSPHOBIC*
-
As a liberal I do not believe you should obstruct people's human rights to assembly & free speech by force - you should take them on in open debate or report criminal speech to the police. You define
@Womans_Place_UK in that way. I've only met 2 of them & it was not their purpose - 9 more replies

Trying to do down trans activists for not constantly apologising for the actions of a minority? Have you apologised today for every act committed by the LGB community in the course of gaining your rights?
-
Did your meeting with "three trans women and once academic" (And if it's three I'm thinking of, only one actually IDs as a trans woman BTW) involve them apologising for every threat, lie and insinuations that's come from them and their supporters?
-
@Womans_Place_UK were being condemned for not criticising every threat, lie & insinuation against trans people. I pointed out trans people had not condemned the illegal actions of a minority of people in masks using force (without saying who those people were.) Trying to be fair. -
It is not *fair* to apply the same standards to all trans people, whatever their group affiliation, as to people who deliberately choose to join a hate organisation.
-
This is *exactly* equivalent to refusing to condemn the Ku Klux Klan without black people first condemning "black on black violence".
-
Isn’t it funny that whenever white people want to talk about their oppression they always have to bring the oppression of black people into it. You might as well scream “ How dare you treat me like a black person”.

Stay strong Brian. Woman have a right to participate in free speech and open debate. A lot of LGB and even T people have had it with this McCarthyism.
