The
@LibDems believe the people should decide on the final deal, not politicians. I would never vote in Parliament to reverse the referendum result to leave the EU. The people decided to leave & only the people should reverse that decision. We voted last week on what sort of deal3 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

84% of the British public voted for labour & conservative in 2017 on manifesto's commited to leaving the CU The lib dems ran on a ref on the deal and lost 2 votes on Brian and people are pig sick of politicians delaying Brexit thus keeping it at the top of the agenda

It was quite important 1 year after the referendum what parties planned to do ? Article 50 had just been enacted

It is quite important politicians take into account what the public think now.

Its a shame the dems are still pursueing this issue, I voted lib dem in 2010 on the back of a great manifesto Now i could never vote for a party calling for a 2nd referendum after the result of the 1st is not enacted It would make referendums worthless and damage our democracy

We don’t want a 2nd referendum, we want a referendum on the detailed deal. We joined the EU following a referendum. Why wasn’t that the last word?

I’ll spell it out: democracy means we can have decisions in Parliament and/or plebiscites again and again as needed or desired. It’s messy, but that’s the way democracy is.
