@Jamie4North Politics is in a poor state when a member of the House of Lords has to resign from @LGBTLD in order to listen to women's concerns about a proposed legislative change.https://twitter.com/brianpaddick/status/987451164169064448 …
I think we are extrapolating beyond what is reasonable by saying politics is in a poor state as a result of an ‘also ran’ unelected politician resigning from an LGBT+ group!

The political environment in which anyone feels the need to resign just to talk to
@Womans_Place_UK is poor. As is what happens when women try to meet to respectfully discuss politics and possible legislative changes:https://twitter.com/bindelj/status/987901883418316801 … -
You’re not hearing me. I resigned for breaking a promise.

Fair enough, although the tweet I quoted above gave me a different impression. I do appreciate you taking the lime to listen and hope the meetings are productive.

I made the same mistake. Glad he's not resigned from the House of Lords although would have been better not to resign from LGBTLD. Am glad he was listening to women's concerns.

Oh, I thought I was quite clear when I said 'resign from @LBGTLD', but I agree about being glad Brian is still in the House of Lords. Just a shame any resignations were needed at all.
