RESIGNATION FROM @LGBTLD. In an ill-thought-through response to criticism that politicians were failing to engage, I inadvertently broke a promise I had made to @LGBTLD. This placed them in a difficult position. As a result I decided it was best for me to resign from @LGBTLD.

It's incredible how quickly people who say they are going to listen to women's concerns immediately tumble and issue a grovelling apology to the transactivists. Strange. (not strange)

I retweeted this but quickly realised there wasn’t an apology there, just a clarification that LGBT Lib Dems did not support his actions and he was resigning. If you read between the lines you can see the implication.

I do not apologise when I believe I’ve done nothing wrong

I take my comment back in that case Brian, sorry. I've no idea what's going on anymore. I don't understand what's happened here. I just keep hearing that nobody is allowed to speak to women who don't subscribe to gender rules, or there are consequences. I don't know what to think

Speaking for myself, there is no point in anyone telling me what I am or am not allowed to do. I am at that stage in life when I feel free to do what I decide is the right thing to do & to live with the consequences.
