RESIGNATION FROM @LGBTLD. In an ill-thought-through response to criticism that politicians were failing to engage, I inadvertently broke a promise I had made to @LGBTLD. This placed them in a difficult position. As a result I decided it was best for me to resign from @LGBTLD.

Except this is not an outlier Brian. There is no other movement that even comes close to trans activism in terms of misogyny & the harassment of women & violent threats to women. What tells you this is endemic is that no trans or LGBT org condemns it, despite it's pervasiveness>
-
>the violence, as always, is coming from males, and supported by males, and ignored for the benefit of males. Don't pull a Trump 'it's both sides' nonsense with this. If you are geniunely attempting to understand the issue, then you need to understand the dangerous actuality.
-
I do not accept that the majority of trans people are violent misogynists or that violence always comes from males. The latter because of personal experience of 30 years as a police officer and the former because of the many reasonable, thoughtful and kind trans people I've met.
-
I didn't say that the majority of trans women are violent misogynists, no-one can know if that is the case. I said that violent misogyny is pervasive in trans activism, which it is, & - crucially - this is not challenged by organisations representing this community at all. So >
-
>it's not an outlier, it's definitive of trans activism, & it's accepted by trans representatives. And it's trans women, i.e. males, who are perpetrating this. I really hope you understand that women live in a climate of *male* violence, not the other way around.
-
I accept that most violence is male violence.
-
And since women live under this climate, a climate that misogyny feeds, a climate upheld by the idea that women should submit to what males want from us - i.e. that males are entitled to this - it's important to understand violent misogyny is never an outlier, & never OK either.
-
Very clever but twisting what I said is not something I will ever accept. I said extremists are outliers. Goodbye

But it is those people who are driving the narrative, policing the transgender community as strictly as they would the feminists. Moderate transgender voices receive a lot of abuse.

It’s a common problem!
