Politicians need to act to guarantee women’s voices will be heard and their concerns addressed free from threat, abuse, harassment or violence. So far, they have failed. So our campaign continues.

I’m meeting representatives of
@Womans_Place_UK soon to listen, understand & seriously consider their genuinely-held concerns. I will hold a similar meeting with representatives of the transgender community. It would be helpful if my genuine attempts to consult are supported.44 replies 59 retweets 275 likes -

Apparently over the last 3 weeks Brian has had a crash-course in trans issues and is now the perfect person to decree what transphobic hate looks like?

Why are you meeting rabid transphobes to discuss my future? I don't condone this at all. What has the GRA got to do with them? Do you do this for all minorities? Will you be meeting with other hate groups? This whole thing is a bloody farce and a stitch up of trans people.

I am not meeting rabid transphobes. I am trying to understand why people are taking such diametrically opposed positions. Being equally criticised for meeting transgender people seems to me that I doing something right.
