Woman’s Place UK was formed last year to platform women’s voices after incidents where women were threatened and assaulted for voicing concerns on the GRA.

We are really pleased to be meeting you and look forward to the discussion. Thank you for stepping up.
-
So glad that
@brianpaddick is meeting with Woman's Place and other representatives. Hopefully others will now follow his lead is listening to both sides and coming together to find a workable solution.

Apparently over the last 3 weeks Brian has had a crash-course in trans issues and is now the perfect person to decree what transphobic hate looks like?

Why are you meeting rabid transphobes to discuss my future? I don't condone this at all. What has the GRA got to do with them? Do you do this for all minorities? Will you be meeting with other hate groups? This whole thing is a bloody farce and a stitch up of trans people.
-
Have you forgotten you original tweet already? Yes you are. Look above.
-
I am not meeting rabid transphobes. I am trying to understand why people are taking such diametrically opposed positions. Being equally criticised for meeting transgender people seems to me that I doing something right.

Well that didn't happen quickly. Have a look at what LBGTLiberals are up to meanwhile.
-
Sorry but we’re not following your timetable. It was the earliest THEY could meet me.
-
The timetable I mean was the long gap from Paddick tweeting crap about feminists, to agreeing to meet them.
-
It was a very short gap. The long gap was for them to actually meet me. I beg to suggest you’re the one tweeting crap.

Sadly, and genuinely it makes me very sad, there is a lot of hatred & bitterness on both sides. I know because I get it from both sides. Which is why I am no longer participating in any further discussion on twitter on feminist/transgender issues.
-
The moral cowardice of our elected reps to engage with this issue has led to anyone who dares put their head above the parapet to even acknowledge that women have genuine concerns receiving disproportionate amounts of crap! TY & respect to you Brian for listening to women.

Wondering who you will condider representative of the many diversities of trans people in UK (not least pre-pubertal children, who are the most vociferously attacked presently)?

Whatever the outcome, massive respect to you for being the first politician to get that there are two vulnerable groups here who both need to be listened to seriously. Intransigence, from whoever it may be, needs to stop. Best of luck.
-
I think
@DavidTCDavies was the first to listen, and lend support. He was a star! -
Yes, sorry for overlooking. I know he said he would not agree with feminists on many things but his commitment to free speech & debate must be massively commended. Truly brassed off that nobody on the left seems to have the same commitment.
