Almost every fatal terrorist attack in the U.K. was carried out by someone known in advance to the security services.

An awful lot of serious high harm crime is carried out by people known to the police. There’s knowing, there’s suspecting, there’s reasonably believing and there’s beyond reasonable doubt. As you well know.

Similar story with coverage of the military - seen as virtuous, selfless hero’s (and rightly so). Not to mention MPs awed by the officer class - seen as ‘people like us’. Whereas police portrayed as unthinking artisans (plebs) in organisations teeming with ill-intentioned people.
