http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42875215 … It's not that the UK & EU 27 will not want to share data to keep us safe from serious & organised crime & terrorism after Brexit, it's the fact that there will be no legal framework that would allow it. Negotiating a deal will be "very difficult".

EU states are allowed to ignore EU Data Protection rules if necessary to protect national security, 3rd party states who want to share data with the EU are not. We will have to follow strict EU rules about protecting personal privacy, rules we will no longer have any say over.
