Well let's hope it goes there as otherwise former members of our police forces will feel free to retain and publish confidential notes for their own political ends. That would damage the reputation of our forces.

I’m sorry that is not the question. The question is why former police officers can be free to release details of past cases. If it is allowed then the damage is limitless. Regardless of what I think about Green or the situation.
