Thanks but there is surely no public interest in an adult having legal porn on their computer. The public interest was stirred by false allegations it was of an extreme nature.
-
My recollection: there was a scandal about sexually inappropriate behaviour in the Palace of Westminster, including an allegation against DG, & the Sunday Times presumably thought the contents of the computer spoke to these issues. For a Court to decide if in the public interest.
-
Well let's hope it goes there as otherwise former members of our police forces will feel free to retain and publish confidential notes for their own political ends. That would damage the reputation of our forces.
-
In the midst of a scandal about sexually inappropriate behaviour in Parliament, was it in the public interest to say that a computer containing pornography (that was being viewed regularly every day) was found in an MP's office? That is the question. To deny it existed is bonkers
-
I’m sorry that is not the question. The question is why former police officers can be free to release details of past cases. If it is allowed then the damage is limitless. Regardless of what I think about Green or the situation.
