I am astonished that a former police officer is allowed to retain his notes of an investigation after leaving the force, then wave them around in interviews ten years later and divulge private details of an individual when no law was broken

Please read all my tweets on this issue before hurling unjustified accusations. I’m not supporting anyone here. You need to understand the history between Quick & Green. Extrapolating beyond this case to ‘police’ generally is unsafe in my opinion. But it’s only an opinion.

It's not OK for someone who is or has been in a privileged position to act in such a way. A doctor wouldn't release a patient's medical records if the patient (no matter their public status) defamed the NHS. This is gutter politics and harms the police service.
