The rape conviction rate is shockingly low, way more rapists go free than men falsely accused. Rape tends to happen without witnesses and boils down to 1 persons word against another’s, it doesn’t mean the jury think it didn’t happen it means they can’t convict without any doubt
To be convicted, the offence must be proved beyond reasonable doubt. That’s a high bar. Rape is difficult to prove if the only dispute is about consent & only 2 people were present. A low percentage of accused are charged but acquittals by juries about the same as other crimes.

That one is easy, because it would discourage victims from coming forward. If a woman has been raped she doesn’t need the pressure of prove it or you’ll go to jail when she is already vulnerable and scared. A not guilt verdict doesn’t mean the victim lied.

No they don’t https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/05/28/girl-made-false-accusation-rape-ex-boyfriend-rejected/amp/ … they can be charged with wasting police time or pervertign the course of justice or perjury if it makes it as far as court, there are already laws in place against false reporting of any crime

Because it’s usually hard to prove in court as it’s one persons word against another, a bit like rape cases.

Careful your misogyny is showing. Many women are proved to be raped but nothing happens.
