July 2016. Norway introduces a new law which means anyone can change their "legal sex" on paper, simply by filling in a form. (1)

Had to wait until my Norwegian husband could explain it to me. The tribunal found that the woman's conduct would have amounted to harassment if it had been in the street (transphobia) but the rules of the gym said 'no male genitalia in the female locker room' so it wasn't.

My experience of Norwegian gyms and swimming pools is that they are often very open with nowhere for private changing or showering. This puts trans people in an invidious position about where to change. The important thing here is that no threat or misconduct was alleged.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the case, changes to the UK GRA *should* not affect access to segregated changing rooms. Some trans women use women's changing rooms without encountering any issues while many are put off using any changing rooms to avoid any issues.

Self ID would allow anyone to change their SEX on their birth certificate which would render the EA meaningless. It's already bad here but now we can at least use the exemptions in the EA. (1)

Also, most of us don't challenge men, however they present themselves, in intimate spaces because we've been socialized to be "nice" and because we're afraid they may turn violent. (2)

See my previously tweets where I express my concerns about male violence, entitlement, misogyny & patriarchy.

Link please. All I'm seeing from you today is patronising dismissal of women's concerns & well founded fears.
