More than half of all MPs surveyed by @ComRes say they can’t debate transgender issues without fear of abuse. 63% of female MPs are afraid to speak. Something is badly wrong here.https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/even-our-mps-are-afraid-of-the-transgender-mob/ …
When I said I would listen, that I would meet with @Womans_Place_UK, when trans activists were really angry & upset with me. No I didn’t experience that. I’m not saying some people haven’t. You asked a question. I answered it. Do I feel intimindated and harassed now? Yes I do.

Brian, are you saying you tried to sit on the fence yet it didn't work? I do see now very clearly that *you* are the victim here.
-
I tried to remain neutral to ensure both sides would still be prepared to talk to me. There came a point where I formed a view, which I tested with colleagues. I then waited until I felt I could no longer keep silent. There are still many details to work out. By no means settled.

Why be "neutral" between two arbitrary debating points? Why not look at evidence with an open mind and apply reason and logic to it, without fear of where that might take you?

It shouldn’t have been left to individuals. Political parties should have facilitated debate. It’s an abject failure by the political estate.
-
Quite. When I suggested to Brian in another thread that intimidation was closing down debate, he said “you are responsible. Not MPs”.
-
That is indescribably chilling DARVO and victim blaming. Indescribably chilling misogyny.
