Brian I really think most of us are well past caring what you think. That you think your voice is still an essential part of this dialogue is nothing but delusion of grandeur.

Maybe but I have a vote and a voice in Parliament when changes to the GRA come up for debate. I’m not past caring what you or other people think. I guess that’s the difference between us.
-
Respectfully, the difference may be that this will not affect you in the way it will affect women. And it's women who wish to discuss concerns re.
#GRA who aren't being listened to. That feels extremely stressful, insulting & frightening. -
I can’t convince people I’m genuinely concerned so I’m not going to try any more.
-
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. But taking a step back won't harm your protections or rights in society as they stand. So, I suppose it's okay for you to do so without consequence. It's a shame. We need more men speaking out & taking some of the heat off women occasionally

I appreciate you are not going to respond but honestly Brian, you can't just disagree with reality and expect women to put up with the fall out. People can't change sex only gender. Men simply cannot be women, it's a ridiculous notion to say they can.
#Choosereality -
Transsexual women are transsexual women. Not natal, but still apart of womanhood. Saying they're no different to the average man is disingenuous, and outright inaccurate. Self id is problematic, though. It's harmful to natal women, and transsexuals too. It must be opposed.
-
No, they are not women. I agree self-id is harmful to transsexuals who genuinely experience dysphoria but they are a tiny number of men who women have traditionally accepted as very feminine, and apart from the average man, but still not female. It's biologically impossible.
-
I'll reiterate: transsexual women are transsexual woman. Not natal, but still valid. Still apart of womanhood. The fact you can't even compromise, and call ts woman trans woman speaks volumes. Assume you don't use she/her for them either, right? I'm transsexual, btw.
-
I did but I don't now. I have no wish to hurt the feelings of anyone who has made significant changes to their bodies to be more in line with the sex they would like to be-but it isn't possible to change sex I'm sorry that you are losing from this but I will not be forced to lie.
-
No, you're not sorry. You're *really* not. You don't care about my feelings. You can't even call a trans girl she/her. You can't compromise on simple pronouns. You are dismissing our identity. Our reality. You expect us to lose everything, and again nothing.
-
You exist, of course you do. You can identitfy as anything you want but you cannot enforce your denial of material reality onto me.
-
Congrats, though!
You've successfully made a young transsexual ally, consider her loyalties.
Consider her priorities.
I've gone out of my way to be an ally... And, this is what i get in return?
I tried... I really did.
But, there really is no compromise with you.
Shame. - 5 more replies

It's very easy to say whether or not you support women's right to female-only spaces, refuges, sports etc.
-
He only supports men.

We (trans rights advocates) all support women’s rights. We understand that women have concerns over domestic violence, violence in prisons, etc. We have those concerns too. The difference is we look at the evidence and campaign for real solutions rather than demonising others.

Thank you for supporting all women, and resisting attempts to divide women against each other.

Woman = Adult human female. No penis.
-
Your aware you just posted this to a politicians twiter feed? I mean that's like breaking into a police officers house while he's sat at the dinner table

-
Haha. They post, I reply.
-
I realise social media does encourage and allow quick and easy posting, but time and place for opinions. I mean I don't agree with your tweets but I'm not going to engage in that. Just pointing out that you posting some harsh words to a guy that could use these on the 19th

-
I don't see how posting a dictionary definition and pointing out biological fact can be called "harsh words"....?
-
Oh come now please don't take me as a fool. We all know what that definition was used for, a clever spin on it I'll give them that. If people didn't add "woman don't have penises" they might have even got away with it
no one goes around quoting the dictionary, it's a attack -
Please note that my tweets are NOT a against transsexuals, many of whom support the women's fight, which is against self ID. Anybody who can't see how self ID is a potential disaster, has their heads very deep in the sand.
