Because when I respond my tweets are misrepresented, distorted & the lies repeated. My qualifications & explanations are either ignored or made out to be something completely different. I say “x”. “Oh look everyone he said y.” “I actually said x.” “You see, he meant y.” Get it?

E.g Me: “it’s not that simple. Just keeping men out of refuges does not make women safe. What about a woman fleeing same-sex domestic violence?” Response: “You’re a misogynistic homophobe.”

you must speak/vote as your conscience dictates likewise, women who have been harassed/accused of bigotry for their belief in biological sex and the harm of gender based on sex stereotypes will also act according to conscience women did not CHOOSE to have to protect their rights

You can't have it both ways, mate. You tweet all these horrible things about us then hide behind your pinned tweet when challenged. Cowardice.pic.twitter.com/WQY9aKU7xG

Please don’t dismiss women’s very real fears. Males commit the vast majority of violent and sex crimes. It is not because some identify as trans that women have an issue with but because transwomen commit sex and violent crime at the same rate as the rest of the male population.

And then get to flip the switch and get sent to women's jail

There is so much hurt and anger and fear on both sides. I hope as a politician you vote based solely on facts Brian not based on the vitriol of keyboard warriors on both sides. It sounds like a bit of a threat to women to shut up? Pls ensure safeguards.
-
It is an objective commentary on my experience and it’s impact on me. It is a plea for decent, civilised debate based on facts rather than insults & assertions without foundation.
-
Brian it isn’t objective though it’s emotional. And there is a veiled threat that you will vote against women because you don’t like the way they have responded. But politically it should be solely factual. You represent all constituents.
-
I don’t have constituents

Ok then all public. Of which women are over half.

Nearly 90% of women support trans equality. Please stop portraying us as a transphobic demographic when we are anything but.https://www.pinknews.co.uk/2018/09/29/trans-women-equal-rights-thomas-reuters/ …
-
@sciencebackwar1 isn’t arguing against equal rights, as far as I’m aware. I don’t, in fact, know anyone who doesn’t support equal rights! -
Quite. Women need and deserve spaces and privacy and the language to define themselves as a sex class. We will willingly support the trans community in claiming the same. But not hand over our own.
