The real question is who made the decision to remove the static armed post on the main entrance? Much more to be asked about the decisions at palace of Westminster.

The post went from static to mobile, the theory being an attacker wouldn’t know where AFOs would be. It also meant someone was able to cut the number of AFOs on site... The PCs didn’t leave CG vulnerable after the crash, they were patrolling their sector at the time, as directed.

I am not in any way, shape or form blaming the armed officers. They did what they were instructed to do & remained at all times within their area of patrol.
-
Yet some unscrupulous senior halfwit tried to discipline them.

Only in the mad crazy world of British policing do we have armed police officers guarding....err.....Police Officers! Who are in turn guarding the PoW!!! Utter nonsense.
-
When people visit parliament, especially those with an appointment to see an MP, they shouldn’t be greeted by a heavily-armed police officer. We’re supposed to be an open democracy. But those unarmed officers need armed backup & a visible armed deterrent.
-
No, they don't need to be greeted by a 'heavily armed police officer'. The officer can have a handgun, if worn discreetly people wouldn't even notice it. Those that did might feel reassured perhaps.

We are wasting our time. Trench dodgers and media luvvies like Wettone and Paddick don’t get it. Maybe because the last time they were in a dangerous spot and needed to defend themselves was.....when?

-
Wind your neck in....trench dodger? You know nothing about my career. 'We' are wasting our time? What do you do in policing? Feel free to DM me....
-
I’m just a member of the public with strong views on law and order, Graham. Don’t like seeing our streets turn to shit and our police asked to do an impossible job.
