You are not listening. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of women pushed out of public life, and that's just to start with, and you couldn't care less.

If I wasn’t listening, I wouldn’t be asking questions. I have asked why they are being pushed out of public life and I’m not getting an answer. What proposed changes to the GRA will force “hundreds of thousands” of women out of public life?

If males are allowed access to female only space that drives women out of public spaces. Especially, but not exclusively, women who, because of cultural norms, are unable to share intimate space with males.

Males are not going to be allowed into female only spaces as a result of proposed changes to the GRA. And what female only spaces are public spaces necessary for women to participate in public life?

I’m concerned that if self ID is allowed and the notion that transwomen are women is accepted, males will be allowed into female spaces as they will be viewed as actual females. Spaces: toilets, changing rooms, hospital wards, but mostly prisons & refuges.

As now, prison and refuge places will be decided on an individual risk assessment.

That simply isn't true. MoJ guidelines (revised 2016) are very clear that trans women with GRCs must always be treated exactly the same as female prisoners i.e. put in women's prisons. (Incidentally your colleagues at LGBTLD like to ignore this fact.)

That article says: There are those who say that giving any trans prisoner with a violent past the rights to move to a woman’s prison and mix with women puts women prisoners at risk. They have even tried to say that...in supporting trans rights, we do not care about women’s rights

People managing and working with women prisoners think it does put women prisoners at risk. What research or impact assessment have @LibDems done on the impact, rights and views on women prisoners of their stance on this?

None. Frances Crook (not noted for anti-trans views) and Andrea Albutt (president of Prison Governors' Association) have both spoken out recently about the dangers of self-id. These people know what they're talking about. Brian, please look at this:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5798945/Trans-women-convicted-men-attack-vulnerable-inmates.html …

It is true. See MoJ guidelines. It is even true in cases where GRC holders have a history of rape (see 6.2). I've pointed this out to your LGBTLD friends several times but they choose to ignore it. https://www.justice.gov.uk/downloads/offenders/psipso/psi-2016/PSI-17-2016-PI-16-2016-AI-13-2016-The-Care-and-Management-of-Transgender-Offenders.docx …
