Just had a press release that contained the acronym: LGBTUA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Undefined, Asexual). Can someone let me know what exact 'oppression' someone within 'undefined' sexuality or a person who is 'asexual' experiences? Serious question. Really.

When you say 'suffer' Brian, I assume you mean having to endure the inconvenience of saying to a romantic partner that they don't want sex? You're not comparing this with anti-lesbian and gay violence and bigotry are you? Surely?
-
I am told it leads to real problems but I am not in the habit of rating one form of discrimination against another.
-
Lots of things lead 2 real problems Brian. I wouldn't call it discrimination, not at all. We all have problems in our personal & work relationships for example, should we add all of them 2 the alphabet soup? Or shall we call it life? Oppression is different from having a problem.

It reminds me of this...https://twitter.com/Docstockk/status/1009730285485817856?s=19 …

It's cotton ceiling or incel thinking. Not giving in to another's relationship/sexual demands is "serious discrimination".
-
There are times when discriminating should be considered an ok thing to do. Who you live with, have relationships with, have sex with are some of those times. No one can surely expect to demand an intimate relationship with someone that isn't willing?

Oh please. It is called being friends if you don't want to have sex with them.

I think you’ll find it’s a lot more than that. It’s not something I’m knowledgable about but I have met asexual people who feel discriminated against.
-
I've met men who feel discriminated against by women

Like most people I’ve ‘suffered’ the indignity of being rejected by those I desired romantically &/or sexually. I never saw this as discrimination or oppression. To have done so would be grossly unfair to those who suffer genuine discrimination due to structural inequality

Most adults will expect sex in a romantic relationship, it's true (in the early years anyway
). But really, a rainbow stripe for people who prefer a nice cuppa? As a knackered middle aged mother, it's a bit mad to say I'm queer because of the sex I'm not having.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
