I was knocked off my feet by one under the same circumstances. I guess it’s down to the individual whether they’re on a bike or in a car. Hope you’re okay.
I saw a woman completely floored by a cyclist going through a red light. She was taken to hospital by ambulance. I’m 60 now & worried that I might not get up again if that happened to me. Unreasonable concern?

Where was that collision? When?

6 months ago. Old Palace Yard SW1. We were on opposite sides of the road. Both waited for the “green man”. Both stepped off the pavement at the same time. She was knocked to the ground by a cyclist. Shook me. Could easily have been me. That’s why I’m sensitive about this issue.

Well then, sorry you saw it. Horrible. Drivers have hurt 2500 people in hit & runs since then (5000 a year)https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-38063443 …

Brian, are you sure that the traffic lights were red and the green man was lit? The pedestrian in this video, and others around him, thought that was the casehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5hJI2FiCA0 …

I’m 60 now. I don’t take risks. I’m absolutely sure. And the cyclist agreed and apologised...eventually.

I was just floored by a car driver and am now recovering from 6 fractured ribs (3 with multiple fractures). Shall I make a sweeping statement about ALL drivers (when one doesn't look for filtering vehicles when making a u-turn)?

When it happened to me I was a youngster and I was just shaken, although it’s scary to be on the floor with all your possessions around you in the middle of the road. If it happened now It could be much more serious, I’m around your age, Brian.
