Not his cottage. It is crown property, and helicopter access is something that will benefit all future prime ministers in their duties. This is petty politicking.https://twitter.com/brianlilley/status/1081024942764810240?s=21 …

1 would think that as Leader of the Nation & having to deal with such pettiness least we could do is provide a safe Official Residence & timely travel accommodation. Helipad isn't asking for too much neither is a Modern Aircraft or a Home without Mould & knob & tube wiring. C'mon

Our maybe you answered the question yourself- sometimes foreign leaders meet there- and it is cheaper to fly Heli from YOW due to needed security-or maybe they evaluated it and discarded it - was the PM even involved? IDK do you? Dimwits guess, journalists rely on facts #cdnpoli

But to build a helipad, but how many helicopters as they only hold so many people. So a world leader meeting had better be small or have a few copters to fly them all.

Usually meetings at the lake... historically (many, many before JT) were 1or 2.... not G7 stuff... as for the area, we'll, it isn't a if it would be used often... AND, maybe this was just investigated as an idea (I discuss 'ideas' w/staff daily, most discarded) ... & & &...

I suspect you are right about an idea floated and then let go.. The cost would have to justify how often used I am sure. Looks like such a beatiful country setting, to put a helipad and then have helicopers flying there just seems all wrong.

I can't say I honestly know. It just bothers me when some journalists willfully ignore obvious possibilities - We need truth... journalists are supposed to be on our side!! If they don't have the full picture and can't get the answers, they should be upfront (my opinion.. Hehe)
