Good story, and confirms what I've been saying for years: all this static data about all Americans is widely available, and/or for sale and we have no business pretending that it's private or using it for authenticationhttps://twitter.com/andrei_chiffa/status/1051109254365630467 …

It's shameful and wrong that there are business out there that aggregate all this data about me, without any particular consent on my part, and they then sell that data. And I have zero say in what's shared or with whom or for what purpose. And no recourse if they're hacked.

If you all have the means, file a copyright collection on your identity itself registered with the USPTO, simple written form as collective work. Then litigate using DMCA $100k to $250k per infraction by said aggregator corporation. If you want to salt said wound, sue CEO direct.

A portion of an email testimony I provided to @twylier (CO Legislative Liason) regarding Address Confidentiality Program bill HB 15-1174. Guess it took less than 3 years for @TLO_xp to be abused.pic.twitter.com/kq6Is1jMKU

#GDPR for US might be a good start.

Fact that USA still only have few state level data protection laws, and only federal guidelines indicates the power of lobbying. #GDPR? What is it? :) #FromTheTrenches #TheCyberSecurityProject #TheAIProject

All my answers for security question are bogus. I use my password manager to create them. Then they get stored as notes in my password manager.

What liabilities might aggregators face if they cannot explain the acquisition chain back to the data origin? If you buy a stolen car, the car does not belong to you and will be returned. How would a court view rights to the data if you cannot prove it wasn’t from a breach?
