2)We all (men) have to get better at listening, picking up signals, being allies. I’d heard rumors about Max but still communicated w him as peers about movies and tv online. Instead of doing diligence on the rumors. It’s a form of enabling. And we all have to stop.

Unless you're family or long time friends, you'll only ever see a superficial part of them When I was at Sun, Wendell Bigelow's office was 3 doors down from mine. Nice guy. Sensitive, even. He ended up murdering his girlfriend, and dumping her body.https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Ex-Lover-Held-in-Woman-s-Slaying-Downing-s-2853695.php …

I remember when you jumped to Max Landis' defense after his Netflix movie was released to poor reviews, raising your banner to keep the hordes in check. Guys like Landis (and Singer) must have felt emboldened by those who rushed to protect them against every perceived slight.

I think that’s false. I never saw that movie. And can’t find anywhere that I defended it. Again: I never met Max. Not even once. Just furious w myself I joked around w him on social media. Should have known better. Should have listened more to what was rumored. Will next time.
