I concur with your sentiment and begrudgingly admit that, as currently constituted, I don’t see a candidate able to garner such appeal...
What matters for a Democratic candidate is whether they can beat Trump in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin—and perhaps Arizona, Florida, and North Carolina. That’s it. If the Democratic nominee can’t win in several/most of those states, none of this matters.

I’m still astounded on a daily basis that trump/GOP are shredding our Constitution and demolishing the rule of law to install an authoritarian mafia state. And a huge swath of America is either cheering it on or simply doesn’t care!
