This is terrible news. I met way back when I worked at New America and was based upstairs. Always struck me as someone that was in DC for the right reasons--fascinated by issues, thought illuminating them would improve things. A good human gone.

FWIW, this absolutely aligns with my professional experience. Even if it contrasts with the general narrative around violent actors online. The ex post facto biases in data collection that inform a ton of the media coverage really distort an accurate picture, in my experience.
