    DC: Protests outside & civil disobedience inside. Last week, this week, every week. Demonstrations at Congressional offices nationwide. And 650k calls to Congress against tax scam. Problem isn’t that resistance isn’t showing up. Problem is GOP only listening to donors.

    I dont think anyone is predicting McConnell will suddenly have a conscience. I think the idea is, he should be pressed on acting in bad faith rather than everyone just deciding its not newsworthy for him to jam the bill thru

    Mitch McConnell held a Supreme Court seat open for nearly a year. What makes anyone think he’s going to wait until Jones is seated to vote on a tax bill?

    Yep. Democrats should absolutely be making life hell for GOP on tax bill, especially Susan Collins. The fight is not over.

    The GOP is going to wake up panicked and realize the tax bill is an anchor not a lifesaver. And the wall will start to crack.

    NOW: Dems will almost certainly call for final tax vote to be delayed until Jones is seated. If McConnell agrees -- as Dems did in 2010 when they waited for Scott Brown to be seated ahead of Obamacare vote -- tax vote could come down to Susan Collins.
